Casero is a new home community being developed by Lennar in Carlsbad, CA. Located near the intersection of El Camino Real and College Blvd, Lennar promises that Casero will be a community of single and 2-story SOLAR homes priced from the upper $800,000s. According to Lennar’s website the development will consist of only 26 homes ranging in size from 2,798 to 4,181 square feet of living space. Each home will have 4 to 5 bedrooms, 3 to 5 baths and 2 car garages.
As I mentioned in my previous post Casero is being developed on a lot of land that I drive by every day. The development is 5 to 10 minutes from my office so I have the pleasure of watching the progress of the construction. I am not surprised that the development consists of only 26 homes as the lot of land is not very large. In fact, the development is far smaller than Toll Brothers at Robertson Ranch which is currently being developed on the other side of El Camino Real very near Casero. The Toll Brothers development will begin selling homes around the same time as Casero so new home buyers will definitely have options this spring and summer. Casero promises Solar Powered homes designed for multigenerational families. The “multigenerational” aspect of Lennar’s design for these homes will provide an intriguing option for home buyers.
As I have always stated it is very important that home buyers obtain representation when purchasing a home. This holds true even with new homes.
